The New Forest has the most extensive area of heathland, ancient trees and miles of coastline to visit. The Charter Market is a twice-weekly retail market held in Salisbury Market Place, and run by the City Council. the market is held every Tuesday and Saturday between 8 am and 3 pm. This historical market has run in the same location since 1227. You can buy a wide variety of goods here and features a central food area which caters for many tastes. Foodie Friday Markets take place on the various Fridays from March to October. Although the Farmers Market is incorporated in the main charter market it also runs independently on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
